Developing a ‘people focused’ culture within the Operations function at ScotRail
t4c worked extensively with ScotRail throughout the lifetime of their 11 year rail franchise from 2004. The final project we supported them with was their aspiration to achieve Gold award status for Investors in People, becoming the first train operator to do so. We designed and delivered a series of workshops over two years which was delivered from the leadership team through all staffing grades to front line operational employees and train drivers. The workshops were interactive and practical, and facilitated employees and managers to build self-awareness and stronger relationships and to develop behaviours which supported the ScotRail brand.
We were delighted to hear that their hard work was recognised as they achieved gold status in 2014.

With reference to the above (IiP Gold assessment) assessment which was conducted during February 2014, I am pleased to advise that the company were accredited with Gold status. This is obviously a major achievement for the company and we are extremely delighted.

Your creativity and facilitation of my Investors in People workshops over the last two years, despite my very vague remits, has greatly assisted my Team. In addition, the work of your team through the Professional Courses has helped improve employee engagement and involvement in the driver and on train teams.
